After seven years in its present location, the
Consulate General of Switzerland in Shanghai will move to new
and larger premises in May 2002. In line with the spectacular
development of Shanghai over the last few years, the Consulate
General has outgrown its present facilities.
To mark the move, an exciting and not very typical
open-door event will be organized in the offices of the Consulate
General on Xian Xia Road 88, West Tower, Suite 302 in Hongqiao
on Saturday May 25 from 10 AM to 4 PM. The event is organized
in co-operation with SHANGHART, Shanghai's leading Gallery for
Chinese contemporary art.
The Consulate General will be fully handed over
to Chinese artists from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui
for the day. They will exhibit their work in the vacated offices
or demonstrate their creativity on the walls, ceiling, floors
of the Consulate. Artists such as JIN WEIHONG, ZHOU TIEHAI, GENG
JIANYI, PU JIE, LIANG SHAOJI, XUE SONG, DING YI, YANG ZHENGZHONG
and many others will be present during the day. Refreshments will
be served to the visitors.
The bureaucrats meet the artists! Don't miss
this unique opportunity and come to convince yourself that this
atypical combination can be a winning one.
